Description: Common name: Red Leaved Japanese Maple. Excellent foliage colour, deep red, with striking scarlet autumn colour

Uses: Plant as a specimen tree

Climate/Position: Light shade, sheltered from strong winds

Height/Spread: Height 5 metres

Soil Requirements: Prefers moisture retentive neutral to acid soil

Pruning: Little or no pruning required. Remove dead, damaged, and crossing branches. Carry out the work in autumn, after leaf drop, finish by the end of December to avoid sap bleed. Disinfect pruning tools before moving on to the next plant
