Soil Requirements: Grow in good fertile moist soil

Pruning: No routine pruning necessary. Remove diseased, damaged, congested or crossing shoots. Shoots that are growing in unwanted directions can also be pruned out

Special Requirements: Cercis chinensis 'Avondale' grows best in full sun or light, dappled shade in well-drained soils. It dislikes dry soils and heavy clays
