Description:Common name: Cabbage Palm, Hardy Palm. Evergreen small tree usually with a single trunk, will develop multi trunks with age. The long strap like leaves make a rounded head. Fragrant cream flowers appear in summer

Uses: Tolerant of coastal, and windy positions

Climate/Position: Warm position in full sun

Height/Spread: Ultimate height 4.5 metres

Soil Requirements: All soils except waterlogged

Pruning: Remove old leaves that are tattered

Special Requirements: If growing tip is snow damaged, the plant will sprout and become multi headed
