GARDENIA jasminoides 'Kleim's Hardy'

Description:Common name: Hardy Gardenia, Cape Jasmine. A hardy for of the exotically scented gardenia. A dwarf, low mound forming shrub with glossy dark green foliage. Single white star- shaped flowers with a lovely strong fragrance are produced in early summer

Uses: Best planted in low borders, along walkways or pots where its fragrance can be enjoyed

Climate/Position: Does best in dappled shade in a protected site. 'Kleim's Hardy' is a very hardy variety that can withstand temperatures down to -10C and below, protect from harsh winds

Height/Spread: Slow growing eventually reaching 80cm - 1m after several years

Soil Requirements: Moist, well-drained soil. Requires ericaceous soil. Mulch freely in autumn. Prefers rainwater
