Description: Common name: Dwarf Chusan Palm / Waggie. Shorter, stiffer leaves than Trachycarpus fortune, making this species ideal for more exposed gardens

Uses: Pot grown for an exotic look

Climate/Position: Plant in sun or partial shade

Height/Spread: 5-6 metres, spread to 2 metres

Soil Requirements: In moist, rich, well-drained soil

Pruning: Little or no pruning required. Any leaf damage can be removed

Special Requirements: Hardy down to minus 15 degrees C. Brush snow and ice of the leaves, do not let it stay in the crown too long

Additional Interest: Of garden origin, has not been found growing in the wild
