HIBISCUS syriacus 'Blue Chiffon'

Description: Common name: Rose mallow 'Blue Chiffon'. Deciduous shrub with pale blue semi double flowers, each petal has a red-purple stain at the base of each petal, these are produced from August to October

Uses: A large shrub suited to a mixed border in a sunny position

Climate/Position: Full sun or partial shade preferred

Height/Spread: Height to 2 metres, spread 120cm, but can slowly mature to a larger specimen

Soil Requirements: Any well drained fertile soil but slightly alkaline is preferable

Pruning: Avoid pruning unless removing damaged stems or shaping the shrub

Special Requirements: Be patient in spring as it is very late coming into leaf so do not think it has died!
