Description: Common name: Climbing Hydrangea, HYDRANGEA anomala petiolaris. Self-clinging climber, flat, creamy, lace-cap type flowers in June and July. The leaves turn yellow in autumn
Uses: Useful for covering old stumps
Climate/Position: Ideal for a north facing wall
Height/Spread: Height 3.0 metres x 3.5 metres. Self-clinging so will climb to the top of the wall
Soil Requirements: Tolerates most soils, so long as they are moisture retentive
Pruning: Little or none is required. Prune to keep within its allotted area
Special Requirements: Water well in dry spells. Can suffer from Chlorosis, feed if the foliage is yellow
