Description: Common name: PRUNUS avium 'Bigarreau Reverchon' (Cherry). Dark red fruits with a sweet flavour, ripens in June.

Climate/Position: Plant in a sunny position, will tolerate some shade
Height/Spread: Can reach 8 metres, with a spread of 6 metres
Soil Requirements: Good soils, avoid waterlogged sites. Will grow in slightly alkaline soils, (Chalky)
Pruning: Remove any dead or crossing branches in summer
Special Requirements: Pick in June, prone to biennial bearing, so you may need to thin the crop
Additional Interest: Self-sterile, so needs another cherry to pollinate it, such as Napoleon
