Description: Anti clockwise twining, long downy leaves, and 15cm long racemes of lilac-pink, fragrant flowers in late spring

Uses: Grow over a sturdy pergola, a strong trellis, or wires strung along a wall

Climate/Position: Full sun or partial shade

Height/Spread: 12 metres, spread 8 metres

Soil Requirements: Fertile soil with a good root run, add organic matter when planting

Pruning: After flowering, prune the long shoots back to 5 or 6 buds, in winter prune the shoots again to 2 or 3 buds

Special Requirements: Harmful if eaten
